Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that Odion Ighalo is available to make his debut against Chelsea.
The Nigerian striker will travel with the Red Devils squad to Stamford Bridge where they are scheduled to take on the Blues in an English Premier League match next Monday.
Ighalo recently joined United on loan from Chinese side Shanghai Greenland Shenhua until the end of the season.
According to the club’s official website, as a lifelong Red Devils supporter, the passionate new no.25 is desperate to get started.
Although Ighalo is not with the United players, who have travelled to southern Spain for training this week, for reasons out of the club’s control, Solskjaer is keen to quickly integrate him into the team.
“Yeah, he is going to travel with us. We will just see his fitness work this week and I think we will get him sharp,” Solskjaer said on the club’s official website.
“We want to integrate him as quickly as we can because, of course, he is desperate to play for us.”
Ighalo scored 36 goals in 90 Premier League matches for Watford FC before he left the club for Chinese side Changchun Yatai in 2017.
