Mamelodi Sundowns go to Highlands Park on Saturday evening (kick off 18:00 SAST) in the quarter-finals of the Nedbank Cup.

It continues a busy run of football for the Brazilians, who were knocked out of the Caf Champions League by Al Ahly last weekend before making the trip down to Stellenbosch FC in the Absa Premiership on Wednesday night.

Pitso Mosimane’s men also have the mouth-watering prospect of their clash with fellow PSL high-fliers Orlando Pirates on Tuesday to contend with as they head to Tembisa.

The hosts have had no such burdens following their top flight loss to SuperSport United last weekend.

Owen da Gama’s side did the business in the last 16, knocking out Kaizer Chiefs on penalties after extra time left the pair all square at 1-1.

They now welcome another big fish to the Makhulong Stadium with a place in the semi-finals at stake.

Sundowns reached the last eight thanks to a 2-0 cruise over the Vaal University of Technology.

Both go into the contest with injury issues, as the season builds towards its climax, with the Lions of The North likely to be without Given Msimango, Ricardo Williams, Sphiwe Mahlangu and Thela Ngobeni.

The visitors, meanwhile, could be missing Tebogo Langerman, Siphelele Mkhulise, Gaston Sirino and Themba Zwane.
