Football Manager 2020 is FREE on Steam – here’s how to download it

Football Manager 2020 will be FREE to play for a week, starting on 18 March 2020. Here's how to get it.

If you happen to be a soccer fan and you’re finding that you’ve got a little more time on your hands than normal, you’re in for a treat.

Football Manager 2020 announced that they will be making the game available for free on Steam for the next week. The offer started at 15:00 GMT on Wednesday 18 March 2020 and will last until Wednesday 25 March 2020.

How long Football Manager 2020 is free on Steam

You might have heard that there’s no such thing as a free lunch. Well, in this case, there’s no such thing as a free PC game. You’ll have access to the game for a week, but if you’ve fallen hook line and sinker for it (like we suspect you might), you’ll have to pay for the privilege. With practically no soccer to watch, there are worse things to spend money on in times of crisis.

Football Manager 2020 said in a statement:

This free access only applies to the PC/Mac game (on Steam) and it will only be playable free-of-charge until the week is over. After that, if you wish to continue playing, you can carry on the journey by purchasing the full game from Steam to ensure FM20 stays in your library.

How to download Football Manager 2020 for free

If you already have a Steam account, getting access to the game is straightforward. Simply head on over to the Football Manager 2020 page and hit the download button. The game will move to your library and will be fully playable until the free week is over.

If you don’t a Steam account, you’ll need to sign up for one. To do that, go to www.steampowered.com, click on ‘Install Steam’ and follow the instructions. Once Steam is installed and you’ve set up an account, the process is the same as above.
