The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle: Is it a one-lot, open world?

Could The Sims 4 Eco Living be an open world with a single lot? Simmers gonna speculate.

The Sims 4 Eco Life Style expansion will launch on 5 June 2020 and the reaction has been mixed so far. There have been little tidbits revealed about what the pack might offer, including ladders (coming to The Sims 4 base game, too!), worm farms and possibly the return of Death by Flies.

But what about the world and the lots?

The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle: What we know about the world and lots

Just in case it’s not obvious, this is just speculative for now, based on what we can see. More information will be revealed in due course, but for now, we love trying to figure it all out.

First things first, we know it will be called Evergreen Harbor, described as a “bustling town focused on alternative energy sources and sustainability”.

We know that like Sulani, the world will change, depending on what your Sims do… or don’t do. And we know that it starts off with a dystopian vibe.

The trailer cuts to quite a few scenes, as is usual with trailers…but how many lots will there be?

One of the big features missing from The Sims 4 is the open world. While there are some semi-open worlds that came with expansion packs to date, there’s not been a truly open one.

Now, look, Simmers are notorious for speculating and this is no different. But let’s take a little look at an exchange on Twitter between Sim Guru Ninja and some Simmers.

Did you see it? Sure, the person making the statement used the same kind of style… but you know how Simmers love to look for hints. And fortunately, somebody went fishing… and look… it happened it again.

Yeah, maybe we’re reaching… but you know… issalot. And we’re not quite done with the hypothesis just yet.

“Open worlds” in The Sims

The concept was introduced in The Sims 3, where the worlds were called towns – not neighbourhoods. Evergreen Harbor is called a town… right?

Like we were saying, it’s just speculation.
