The massive June 2020 patch that was rolled out for The Sims 4 on Wednesday caused a bit of a kerfuffle with a few mods and custom content. While the damage wasn’t nearly as bad as many were expecting, though, a few of the favs started glitching.
Modders are quick, though, and they do so much for the Sims community. Within minutes of the patch rolling out, there were reports of which mods were working and which were broken over on the official Sims forum.
Not too long after, modders had rolled out updated or hotfixes to make sure Simmers can update their games and continue as usual.
MC Command Centre or MCCC, was working fine, but deaderpool added a quick hotfix just to be safe. Some other popular mods updated include UI Cheats Extension (weerbesu), Venue Changes (Zerbu), Basemental (updated for Patreon), More Columns in CAS v1.11, SrslySims’ Simulation Lag Fix and Whicked Whims.
This is by no means the complete list, but it does offer an overview of some of the most popular mods. If you are unsure about the status of any of your mods or custom content, it’s best to check directly on the creator’s support channels or their websites.
Alternatively, keep an eye on The Sims 4 official forums over the next few days, especially if you have purchased the Eco Lifestyle expansion pack. If you have purchased the expansion and you use mods or CC, remember to prepare for them properly. We put together a guide on how to prepare your game if you use mods and CC prior to the release of the June patch, but it’s equally relevant for an expansion pack, too.
