How to fix broken bulldozed Pinecrest apartments in The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle

There is a very annoying bug in The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle which results in the Pinecrest apartments being broken when the lot is bulldozed. Here's how you can fix it.

The Sims 4 has a long list of bugs. And no, we are not talking about the bug farm in Eco Lifestyle. Although, weirdly enough, some Simmers are reporting that their bug farm isn’t harvesting.

While players are waiting in anticipation to hear what the new Sims 4 game pack is going to be (we have some theories on this by the way: Atlantis, Star Wars, Winter Resort or Norse Mythology), others are just desperate for the issues that interfere with the game to be fixed.

One of the issues driver players (especially builders) mad is the issue with the Pinecrest apartments in The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle expansion pack.

Originally, the Sims 4 team implemented these apartments so that their balconies could be edited. That was subsequently changed before release, but that is not the big issue here.

The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle: Pinecrest apartments bulldozing issue

The issue appears when using the “bulldoze lot” action in build mode. Bulldozing the Pinecrest apartments cause them to be completely broken like this.

Yeah, annoying. There is a way to fix the issue with these apartments, though. We know, it is not something that should be happening in the first place. But while we wait for a fix for this issue, there is a way to fix it.

Some user report being able to fix the broken bulldozed Pinecrest apartments by simply relocating the apartment that has dropped to the ground floor.

We know that sounds confusing, don’t worry – there’s an easier way.

When the apartments are bulldozed, the shell of the building seems to appear on the ground floor. You can pick this up and move it in build mode. It should snap to the grid and the issue should be fixed.

This does not work for everyone, though. Fortunately, there is a much easier fix.

All you have to do is use the wall tool to draw a wall on the side where the balcony door is located. You might have to turn bb.moveobjects on for this.

This method of fixing the broken Pinecrest apartments in the Sims 4 should work on all units. Where there is no balcony, try drawing the wall on the side that remains “in tact”.
