PSL fixtures, results and live standings for the week

The PSL is heading for a conclusion and things can still change dramatically.

Depending on when you are reading this, the PSL log could look dramatically different and the context of how the league will conclude might take on a whole different meaning.

The league is hurtling towards completion at a rapid speed, but Thursday, 27 August 2020 is one of the key dates for deciding this year’s title.

Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns will square off in a PSL fixture kicking off at 18:00 South African time. In the context of the PSL standings, this match is huge.

Chiefs top the PSL log with 53 points. The defending champions sit in second on 50. Both teams have played 26 matches. Both will have three more games to play after this.

But before the two main title contenders kick off their PSL fixture on Thursday, Bloemfontein Celtic will take on Wits at 15:30. There will be just one PSL fixture on Friday: Stellenbosch FC vs Chippa United.
