It is the final day in the PSL league title race and Kaizer Chiefs face a tricky tussle against Baroka FC.
Baroka FC and Kaizer Chiefs will meet for a PSL fixture which would decide both the title and the relegation scenario. Kick off is at the Bidvest Stadium at 15:30 South African time on Saturday.
Baroka find themselves in the relegation playoff spot, one point from safety, after they succumbed to a 4-1 loss against SuperSport United on 2 September. Bakgaga, who are three points clear of the bottom of the log, have claimed 13 points from 14 home matches so far this season.
Chiefs kept on track to win the title with a 1-0 victory over Chippa United on 2 September, thanks to an early goal from Khama Billiat. The Amakhosi, who have claimed 29 points from 14 away games in 2019/20, need only match the result of rivals Mamelodi Sundowns to be crowned champions.
Prediction methodology explained
The expected win percentage is based off publicly available odds. For example, if a team’s odds are 2.30, the expected chance of winning is 43%. If the odds are 1.62 the expected chance of winning is 62% and so on. These are accurate at the time of writing but are subject to change. Where there is no value listed, the odds were not available at the time of writing.
In head-to-head stats, Baroka and Chiefs have met in seven league matches since 2016/17. The teams have a dead even record, with two wins apiece, three draws and seven goals scored against each other. The Limpopo side has yet to win at home against their Soweto rivals, recording two draws and one defeat from three turns as hosts.
When the teams met earlier this season, at FNB Stadium in September 2019, Chiefs claimed a 1-0 home win thanks to a goal from Lebogang Manyama. It was the Amakhosi’s first victory against Bakgaga as hosts.
