FIFA 21: Release date countdown

The clock's ticking - FIFA21 is almost here.

Early access for FIFA21 has dropped and now the wait is on for the release for everyone else. The early access release caused so much excitement that EA Play services reportedly crashed on Thursday.

The new edition will add deeper player training and new simulation options to Career Mode, among other features.

Fans of Career Mode can take their team to the top by managing every moment, with new innovations that create additional depth in matches, transfers, and training.

Career Mode also delivers a huge leap in gameplay interactivity to control the outcome of every game with the Interactive Match Sim, a revamped growth system to better manage Player Development, and more.

EA Play subscribers were able to get a ten-hour early access trial of FIFA 21 on 1 October, but will have to wait a little while longer for the official release.

FIFA21: Release dates

The 28th instalment in the FIFA series, and will be released on 9 October 2020 for Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles.

However, the Ultimate and Champions editions will be released on 6 October, ahead of the release of the standard edition on 9 October.

The game will also be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Google Stadia at a date yet to be confirmed.
