Sims 4 builds to get you in the Snowy Escape expansion mood

The new Sims 4 Snowy Escape expansion pack looks like it's going to be amazing. Get in the mood (if you weren't already) with some of these breathtaking builds.

The highly-anticipated new Sims 4 expansion pack, Snowy Escape, will be released on 13 November 2020. Sims will be whisked away to the snowy new world of Mt. Komorebi, where they can live or vacation and explore all sorts of extreme sports and other outdoor activities.

The new pack is heavily inspired by Japan and a pre-pack patch will add new features to the base game. These include adding more depth to Sims’ personalities with the addition of “Sentiments” and the ability to use platforms in build mode.

The Sims 4 Seasons expansion pack is not needed to fully enjoy the pack. Your Sims will still get to snowboard and potentially fall to their death off a snowy mountain even if you do not own any other expansion.

Due to the nature of the base game update coming to The Sims 4 prior to the release of Snowy Escape, players should back up their save files as well as their mods and CC, though.

For builders (that’s me), the new platform feature holds tremendous potential. Split-level just became a whole lot easier and terrain tools with customised stairs suddenly looks a lot more appealing.

But you do not have to wait for the release of the new Sims 4 expansion pack to get excited about the architectural style. There are several amazing builds on the EA gallery you can use as a start, or for inspiration, for the new world.

Snowy Sims 4 builds: Get in the mood for the new expansion

Please note that some of these builds may contain custom content. You will still be able to place them, but some objects might disappear.

When not building myself, one of my absolute favourite things to do in The Sims 4 is to browse other builds. There are some insanely skilled builders out there.

There are builders who complete entire villages or mini towns all on one lot. If you though completing one house or room was difficult, try a whole village on a massive lot.

While there are doubtless many more amazing builds on the gallery that we have not found yet, we’ve picked out a few of our favs to get you in the Snowy Escape mood. Unless otherwise stated, the screenshots here are all taken by us.

This house is perfect and thoughtful both inside and out. If this is how it looks without any of the new build/buy items from the Snowy Escape pack, just imagine how stunning it will be once they're added.

It's the attention to the small details on this tiny home that makes it. From the vents to the towels and the gas cannisters outside.

Japanese Village Sims 4

This might be one of the most ambitious and impressive builds of the lot. It contains a lot of CC so you will have to search for teemo4sim by ID on the gallery and make sure you enable "Show Custom Content" to download it. The detail to every house/shop in this build is just astounding.

Do not use this build unless you have a reasonably good setup. This build is beautiful and detailed - ideal for a destination wedding.

We'll be updating this post with other builds as we find them.
