Sims 4 November update lets you wash toddlers in the sink, kinda

And that includes toddlers washing other toddlers resulting in freaky long-limb weirdness.

The November 2020 update for The Sims 4 added a whole bunch of cool new stuff. The addition of build-mode platforms was the most notable, but vacation lots in any world as well as Sentiments – a sort of personality overhaul for Sims.

Since the update, however, players have been reporting random game crashes. The Sims 4 team said they are busy working on a fix which they hope to roll out this coming week. There is, however, a possible workaround fix, involving disabling game audio.

The latest Sims 4 update also fixed some in-game bugs. These included a fix for the freelancer career, reportedly banishing the dreaded Eyeball Ring and an end to Sims washing dishes where they angry poop.

For some players, the last two glitches still remain. But players have spotted something else that was not in the patch notes for the latest update.

Sims 4: New wash toddler in sink option

A few eagle-eyed players on social media have pointed out that there is a new sink interaction available. In households with toddlers, Sims will see a ‘clean up’ option when clicking on the sink.

Sims can then choose to clean up a toddler which results in a small hygiene boost and a simple animation with a toddler being thrown into the air and engulfed in bubbles.

YouTuber Iron Seagull made a short video about the new find and one Swedish Sims player noted in the comments that the same interaction was present in their game (in Swedish).

A somewhat freaky thing about the new interaction is that toddlers can ‘wash’ other toddlers. The animation is a bit odd, resulting in the toddler doing the cleaning stretching to some out-of-proportion, long-limbed oddity for a few seconds.

Those who have suffered the unfortunate fate of having a teenager age up with such lanky limbs – which results in that specific save file becoming unplayable – will perhaps not be so appalled by the weirdness.

Whether this is a glitch, an accident or something that just wasn’t quite ready to be noted yet, something to do with the fix for the rejection of functional kitchen sinks and dishwashers or something else, nobody quite knows just yet.

What we do know is that in previous editions of The Sims, babies could be bathed in sinks.

Speaking of, there is some new speculation doing the rounds that there might be a baby update coming in the near future.
