Origin is running a massive sale across many of its titles, including The Sims 4.
All expansion packs in the simulation franchise have been discounted by more than half. Game Packs are being offered at 33% off while Stuff Packs are also discounted by up to 55%. The Sims 4 base game has also been discounted by up to 78% for the Digital Deluxe Edition.
The popular life simulation franchise was first released in 2014 and has released eight expansion packs since then, with the ninth believed to be in its final stages of development.
The Sims 4 Expansion Packs, in order of release, are:
- Get To Work
- Get Together
- City Living
- Cats & Dogs
- Get Famous
- Island Living
- Discover University
The franchise has released eight Game Packs and 16 Stuff Packs and recently celebrated its 20th anniversary since the original game was first released.
Those anniversary celebrations left many gamers underwhelmed, however, with a lukewarm “hot tub” and a lowkey patch leaving many wondering if something bigger might be potting.
But there will be no Maxis Monthly in March and there might not even be a patch update. What impact, if any, the global COVID-19 pandemic will have on the release of new content for The Sims 4 franchise is also not known yet.
For Simmers who haven’t completed the collection of packs, though, the sale at least offers some new content, albeit at a price. The notice on the Origin store says the sale will last until 23 March.
