Super Rugby Unlocked continues with round two this weekend, with South African fans treated to three fixtures across the country.
All eyes will be on Cape Town on Saturday night, as the Stormers make their competition entrance against the Lions (kick off 19.00 SAST).
The pair will meet at Newlands for what will almost certainly be the final time, ahead of the Cape side’s move to the Cape Town Stadium in 2021.
As controversy swirls around Table Mountain off the field, it’ll be a relief to get back on the pitch for coach John Dobson and his team.
The Lions jet down from Johannesburg having been edged out 19-16 by the Sharks on the opening night, with the Durban franchise now taking a bye this weekend.
Another intriguing fixture sees two opening round winners face off in Bloemfontein on Friday night (kick off 19.00).
The Cheetahs remain on home turf at the Toyota Stadium following last weekend’s 53-31 rout of the Pumas.
Now they welcome the Bulls to their Free State fortress, with the visitors surviving something of a scare on the opening weekend to see off the Griquas 30-23 in round one.
The two minnows meet at Tafel Lager Park on Saturday afternoon (16.30), with the Griquas hosting the Pumas in what could be a battle to avoid the wooden spoon.
