Sims 4 Snowy Escape: Mt. Komorebi has a beautiful meaning

Mt. Komorebi, the new world in The Sims 4 Snowy Escape has a beautiful translation when translated from Japanese to English.

The Sims 4 revealed this week that the game’s tenth expansion pack will be called Snowy Escape. The pack will be set in the beautiful Mt. Komorebi.

Before the trailer was even released, it was clear that the new Sims 4 expansion pack will be heavily influenced by Asian, most notably Japanese, architecture and landscapes.

While the world was not officially revealed at the time of writing this (the live stream for the Snowy Escape trailer is over here), we might have some idea of what the world will look like thanks to a possible ‘leak’ from a Sims YouTuber.

The Sims 4 said on Monday that they partnered with four Sims 4 YouTubers to ‘bring the world to life’ – more details on that have yet to be revealed. However, early in October, one of the YouTubers – LilSimsie – appeared to have leaked the world map by accident during a streaming session.

The screenshot was shared on social media, but did not gain much traction at the time. However, since it’s now confirmed, here’s a little look of what the world map might look like. Keep in mind that this would probably be a beta version of the world and some things might change.

It has been confirmed that players will not need The Sims 4 Seasons expansion pack to enjoy this expansion, however.

Sims 4 Snowy Escape: Mt. Komorebi’s meaning

One of the striking things about the world is the meaning of its name. When it was revealed on Monday, a few people on social media explained that it translates from Japanese to mean ‘sunlight streaming through the trees’.

We’re pretty sure that some of the effects that were added with the Eco Lifestyle expansion will make this pack one of the most beautiful worlds in the game to date.
