The new Sims 4 expansion pack, Snowy Escape, will be released in just a few weeks – 13 November 2020 to be exact. While we’ll doubtless find out more about the pack in the days to come, the official trailer has given us a little glimpse of what to expect.
The official blog post released with the trailer on Tuesday also shared some insight and we already know that the pack will be set in the Japanese-inspired world of Mt. Komorebi.
It has already been confirmed that players will not require The Sims 4 Seasons expansion pack for Snowy Escape to have, err… snow.
As always is the case with trailers for new Sims 4 content, it’s good to take closer look at what is to come. Below, we’ve picked out some of our favourite bits.
Hiking, a cable car up to the snowy mountain, mountain climbing and other snow-related activities all feature prominently in the trailer.
There is also new food, a new kitchen and beautiful Japanese inspired build and buy items of which we cannot wait to see more.
We also wonder if this pack might feature a new mode of transport for Sims. While trams and trains already exist as “ambient” objects in the game, the trailer appeared as if Sims took transport (that is not a car) to get to the new world.
There’s also a new critter which one Sim in the trailer did not look too impressed with and it seems as if there’s some sort of new dining experience for Sims to enjoy in the new world too. Although, that could just be Sims having dinner together.
Oh and there are new Japanese showers, tatami mats, new fireplaces and beautiful new sliding doors – all inspired by Japan’s iconic architecture.
