The Sims Plus aka Arnie Sims, the creator behind the Brookheights Open World mod, will reveal their new World Edit mod today. That’s 14 December 2020, in case you’re reading this after the event.
A short teaser video was shared last week, but we don’t know all that much about the new mod. That’s all set to change with the walkthrough reveal video (linked to below this article, if you want to watch) on Monday.
We do know that the mod has been in the works for a while and is likely to be a hybrid of the Brookheights and Pro Build mod (also by Arnie Sims). If the maps made by Arnie are anything to go by, the world edits that players will be able to create are sure to be absolutely stunning.
The Pro Build Mod was released in October, and unlocked many new debug items (yes, even the ones we can unhide now) and added a water terrain tool, rounded pool modular shapes and spiral staircases, amongst other things.
Brookheights has a World Edit feature of its own, including many of the features (and items) from the Pro Build mod.
It might also include some elements of the T.O.O.L mod, which already allows players to make changes to things like the exterior of apartments (including changing windows and doors).
The Sims 4 World Edit mod won’t be anything like The Sims 3 Create-a-World feature (that’s just not quite possible with the game’s infrastructure).
But judging by what Arnie has managed to create for the game so far, The Sims 4 World Edit mod will almost certainly be a peach.
