English Premier League predictions, fixtures and results – Round 16

There’s more midweek EPL madness as we say an unfond farewell to 2020.

A full midweek programme of English Premier League fixtures sees out the unmitigated skip fire that has been the year 2020.

The way things have been across England thanks to the global Covid-19 pandemic, the 20 EPL clubs may just be grateful to be getting a game on at all.

And, barring a late Christmas goal difference miracle, it’ll be reigning champions Liverpool that top the tree as 2021 rolls in, whatever the result of their trip to Newcastle on Wednesday night.

Jurgen Klopp’s side close out the year on Tyneside after Tottenham and Fulham contest a London derby earlier in the evening at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The action begins with three Monday matches, as misfiring Chelsea welcome Aston Villa to Stamford Bridge.

Manchester City face a daunting trip to Goodison Park to play Liverpool’s nearest challengers and cross-city rivals Everton.

Leicester are in the capital for an afternoon game when they tackle Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

There are five Tuesday games to go at, building up to the Old Trafford crescendo as Manchester United host Wolves.

Arsenal are down on the south coast to play Brighton at the Amex Stadium, fresh from their London derby success.

Burnley host Sheffield United with both sides increasingly desperate for Premier League points either side of the relegation zone dotted line.

Southampton are at home to West Ham, while Leeds make the trip to play Sam Allardyce’s West Brom at the Hawthorns.
