The wait is over for the final six competing nations to make their entrance at the delayed 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon on Wednesday.

Limbe is the centre of attention as Tunisia open up against Mali, ahead of the clash between Mauritania and Gambia.

Then it’s back to Douala as the Ivory Coast face opponents from across the West African gulf in the form of Equatorial Guinea.

Group F: Tunisia vs Mali

It’s a high quality affair to kick off Group F at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, as Tunisia face Mali with the pair ranked 30th and 50th respectively in the Fifa world football rankings.

The Eagles of Carthage notched a fourth-placed finish two years ago in the familiar North African surroundings of Egypt, while Mali went out to the Ivory Coast in the Round of 16 at the 2019 Afcon.

Both breezed through to the latest edition of the continent’s greatest tournament at the top of their qualifying groups, as the Tunisians hunt a first title since their 2004 success.

Kick off: 15:00.

Group F: Mauritania vs Gambia

The expansion of the Africa Cup of Nations has opened the door to new faces, with Mauritania and Gambia opening their 2021 Group F campaigns with just one tournament appearance between them.

That sole presence came courtesy of the Lions of Chinguetti in Egypt two years ago, where they went out in the group stage before qualifying for Cameroon in the runners-up spot.

The Scorpions fully deserve their competition debut having topped their qualifying pool ahead of Gabon, squeezing out the might of DR Congo into third place.

Now the pair meet to write a new history on the big stage, starting at the Stade Municipal de Limbe.

Kick off: 18:00.

Group E: Equatorial Guinea vs Ivory Coast

Ivory Coast and Equatorial Guinea are the final two nations to make their mark at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, as they meet for their Group E opener in Douala on Wednesday night.

Les Elephants are two-time tournament winners, last lifting the crown in 2015.

There’s no shortage of talent of the ranks of the West Africans with the likes of Wilfried Zaha, Sebastian Haller and Franck Kessie all in action in Cameroon.

The National Thunder have the best nickname in the competition but come in as huge underdogs, despite pinching fourth place when their opponents went on to win the title seven years ago.

Kick off: 21:00.
