2023 RWC: Australia vs Fiji: Previous results, stats and kick off time

The Flying Fijians didn’t quite take off in their opening fixture at the 2023 Rugby World Cup, losing 32-26 to Wales.

But the scoreline tells just have the story and there were plenty of reasons to believe that the best is yet to come.

And there is no better opportunity to kick into high gear than when they face Australia on Sunday.

This marks the first meeting between the two teams since the 2019 Rugby World Cup, having previously had somewhat of a tradition of playing each other at least once in the four year span.

The Wallabies hold the upper hand, overall with 19 wins in the 22 meetings with Fiji winning once and the other fixture being drawn. And you have to go back 69 years to find Fiji’s last win against the Aussies.

Since then, the Wallabies are unbeaten against Fiji, equalling their longest unbeaten run against a single opponent. The other being against Italy with 18 consecutive victories 1983 and 2018.
