English Premier League predictions, fixtures and results: 1 – 4 May 2026

Manchester United play Liverpool, Everton meet Manchester City and Arsenal host Fulham in English Premier League this weekend.

We’re into the final month of the English Premier League season and there’s an all-time classic fixture to headline the beginning of the end.

Manchester United and Liverpool have an enmity for the ages and they collide again on Sunday, with plenty on the line towards the top of the EPL table.

The north west rivals meet at Old Trafford separated by three points and one place in third and fourth.

Both have had their travails throughout the course of the season but are improving at the right time in the push for Uefa Champions League qualification, even if the title is well out of reach.

Monday night sees Manchester City take their Premier League tilt the other way down the M62, with a tricky task at Everton in their sights.

Pep Guardiola’s side have put themselves on a level footing at the summit in recent weeks but won’t expect to have it all their own way at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, with wily old David Moyes and his Toffees plotting their downfall.

Chelsea take centre stage on Bank Holiday Monday afternoon, taking on Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues are out to cleanse themselves of the Liam Rosenior ‘era’ and need to turn around a horror run of five consecutive defeats if they are to reignite their European push.

Arsenal maintain the slenderest lead at the top of the EPL having been reeled in dramatically by City.

They play the late Saturday game at home to Fulham knowing any slip up at the Emirates Stadium would open the door for the men in blue, while their inconsistent visitors are clinging on in the continental race.

Sunday night sees another cracker when Aston Villa meet Tottenham.

The Villans are in good shape for another Champions League campaign next season but did lose to Fulham last time out, while Spurs remain two points inside the relegation zone despite victory last weekend.

Bournemouth and Crystal Palace play in Sunday’s other EPL fixture.

The Cherries are flying high despite the impending exit of popular coach Andoni Iraola, with the Eagles bobbling along in midtable ahead of the departure of their own boss, Oliver Glasner.

Saturday brings another London derby with the clash between Brentford and West Ham.

The Hammers have picked up seven points from their last possible nine but remain deep in relegation peril, with the Bees well off the boil in recent weeks despite an excellent season overall.

Brighton have gained full control at the head of the best-of-the-rest chasing pack in the top half.

They go to a Newcastle side who are in something of a crisis, having lost four on the spin as the pressure mounts on boss Eddie Howe from fans and his Saudi overlords alike.

Wolves and Sunderland complete Saturday’s quartet of Premier League matches with their game at Molineux.

The hosts are seeing out time ahead of their departure through the trapdoor down to the Championship but the Wearsiders have other things on their mind, with a fairytale push towards European qualification still on the table.

Leeds and Burnley kick off the EPL weekend on Friday night when they renew cross-Pennine hostilities at Elland Road.

The Clarets are relegated and parted ways with coach Scott Parker during the week, with their West Yorkshire hosts on course for survival under Daniel Farke, six points the right side of the dotted line.
