The finish line is coming over the horizon this weekend, as the English Premier League continues with eight more fixtures to begin a quirky spell in the football calendar.
We’re two EPL matches short as the English League Cup final at Wembley Stadium between Liverpool and Newcastle sees the first major silverware of the season dished out.
Then it’s on to an international break followed by the FA Cup quarter-finals, ahead of the top flight’s return on April Fools’ Day.
So you’d be mad to miss this weekend, then, which even boasts a super Sunday thanks in no small part to the clash between Arsenal and Chelsea.
It’s a London derby that could have huge repercussions in the race for top four places come the end of the season.
And it’s the Gunners who need the pick-me-up from the Emirates Stadium contest, having collected just two points from their last possible nine to all but surrender as the last club standing in the title race behind Liverpool.
The Blues still have their doubters for their style of play under Enzo Maresca, not least among their own fanbase, but have brushed past a pair of relegation candidates in recent weeks to reignite their top four tilt at just the right time.
A pair of bit name strugglers also hit the road on Sunday.
Manchester United drew scorn last week for the way they celebrated a draw against Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal at Old Trafford, but such have been the slim pickings of a dismal domestic campaign.
They go to Leicester, who are sinking without trace under former United star Ruud van Nistelrooy, boosted by news of a new stadium to replace their iconic home after under-fire part-owner Jim Radcliffe broke cover in a flurry of midweek media appearances.
Don’t expect Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy to do the same, despite his club sitting on the same points tally as their fellow big shots.
He’ll watch his Spurs in stony silence as usual, with boss Ange Postecoglou’s latest bid to overcome a ruinous injury crisis taking them across the capital to play Fulham.
And the Cottagers will be dangerous despite losing two of their last three to dent their continental ambitions.
With Newcastle vying for silverware on Saturday, there’s an opportunity for one of Manchester City and Brighton to strengthen their top six standing when they meet on Saturday.
The Etihad Stadium is the venue with City just a point ahead of their visitors either side of the Toon Army in sixth, although it’s the Seagulls who are soaring thanks to four wins on the bounce.
Everton and West Ham face each other at Goodison Park for the final time, with both clubs gazing up at the sunlit uplands of midtable.
They may be locked on 33 points apiece in 15th and 16th place in the table respectively, but the relegation alarm bells have been quietened with both picking up valuable points in recent weeks.
Ipswich occupy the last relegation place below the dotted line and look in terrible trouble going into their home game with Nottingham Forest.
The difference couldn’t be much more stark at Portman Road as Forest arrive third in the Premier League standings and fresh from their City Ground success against Manchester City last time out.
Southampton and Wolves are the two other clubs deep in the EPL mire.
They face off at St Mary’s Stadium with the Saints already looking doomed – and their visitors desperate to at least maintain their six-point gap above the Championship trap door.
Bournemouth complete Saturday’s action in the late kick off, as they tackle Brentford in a midtable contest.
The Cherries are three without a win and in ninth position, albeit only five points beneath Chelsea in fourth, while the Bees are ticking along harmlessly in 12th.
