Liverpool scrap to keep Premier League title race alive as Chelsea battle to seal third, while Burnley and Everton fight for EPL survival this midweek.

It all comes down to the final week of the English Premier League season, with mouthwatering battles at both the top and bottom of the EPL table.

The last mini-round of midweek fixtures paves the way for a final day ding-dong on Sunday afternoon with all 20 teams in action.

All eyes are on Liverpool on Tuesday night as they attempt to take the title race to the last round of games.

Jurgen Klopp’s side head to Southampton having already reached the Uefa Champions League final, as well as mopping up the EFL Cup and the FA Cup at Wembley Stadium last weekend.

That means an incredible quadruple trophy haul is still possible, albeit with the Reds knowing a win at St Mary’s Stadium will still leave them a point behind defending champions Manchester City at the summit.

It’s Anfield legend Steven Gerrard from whom they’d then need a favour from at the weekend, as he takes his Aston Villa side to the Etihad Stadium.

But the Villans have a job to do on Thursday first, with Burnley heading to the West Midlands in desperate search of points to secure their Premier League survival at the last.

The Clarets are a point behind Leeds on the right side of the dreaded dotted line ahead of this, their potentially pivotal game in hand.

Another point up the road are Everton, who had two men sent off in capitulating to a 3-2 home loss to Brentford at the weekend, when victory would have all-but sealed the Toffees’ top flight survival.

Frank Lampard’s side are fortunate enough to have another Goodison Park opportunity on Thursday, with Crystal Palace the visitors for their penultimate EPL fixture.

Back at the right end of the standings, Chelsea go into back-to-back home matches to finish their dramatic campaign knowing a point will likely be enough to seal third place.

The Blues have spent most of the season in bronze medal position, all while being crowned Fifa World Club champions and reaching the FA Cup final, either side of the turmoil of Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich’s exit as owner of the west London club.

And Thomas Tuchel’s men can end on an on-field high ahead of a summer of transfer wrangling under new ownership.

Brendan Rogers’ Leicester are the visitors to Stamford Bridge, with the Foxes looking to add some late sheen to an awkward season of their own with a third league win on the bounce.
