The battle to finish in the top four of the English Premier League takes centre stage this weekend, as the leading contenders jostle for supremacy as the season reaches the sharp end.

Runaway leaders Manchester City and Liverpool are meeting at Wembley in the FA Cup semi-finals, as are third-placed Chelsea and Crystal Palace, giving those just beneath the EPL spotlight.

Manchester United have the opportunity to emerge from their recent doldrums when bottom club Norwich visit Old Trafford on Saturday.

The Red Devils start the Easter weekend seventh in the table thanks to a rough run of form and they host a Canaries side that have rallied to claim four points from their last six.

Tottenham have put themselves in pole position for a top four berth by virtue of four consecutive Premier League wins.

Goals are flying in for Antonio Conte’s side, too, as they welcome midtable Brighton to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday.

Arsenal have lost three of their last four to fall off the pace of their north London rivals and they’re on the road at Southampton as they aim to stop the rot.

The Gunners are fifth, three points and a place behind their capital city foes, albeit with a game in hand.

Watford and Brentford meet to complete a quartet of Saturday fixtures, with the visitors all-but safe and the home side decidedly imperiled and running out of time to beat relegation back to the Championship.

Back at the right end of the table on Sunday, West Ham need to avoid a comedown from their midweek Europa League heroics when they take on Burnley.

David Moyes and his charges are eyeing a strong finish to the campaign at home and abroad but have work to do to ensure a top six finish or better.

For the Clarets it’s a start to life without Sean Dyche, who was sacked on Friday after a decade at the Turf Moor helm.

Leicester also remain in European competition and are out to bolster their top half hopes when oil-rich Newcastle visit the King Power Stadium.
