Group G: Cameroon vs Brazil – 21.00
Cameroon face an almighty challenge on Friday at the Fifa World Cup, as they need to beat Brazil to hold any hope of reaching the Round of 16 in Qatar.
The Brazilians made it two wins from two earlier in the week, as they edged past Switzerland to guarantee their safe passage at the earliest possible opportunity.
Their African opponents need to pull off the unlikely, while also overturning a goal difference deficit to either the Swiss or Serbia, depending on Group G’s other result between the pair.
And they may even have a chance, with Tite’s men likely to ease off the gas with the knockouts looming.
Group G: Serbia vs Switzerland – 21.00
Serbia have one last chance to salvage their World Cup campaign in Qatar on Friday night, with Switzerland and Cameroon standing between them and a last 16 place.
It’s been a disappointing tournament for the Serbs, who boast some star quality in their squad.
Brazil cruised past them in the Group G opener, before they were held to a dramatic, 3-3 draw with the African nation, who themselves will look to pounce on any Swiss slip-ups.
For Murat Yakin’s side the maths is simple: win and they’re through to the knockout stage, lose and they go home.
Group H: Ghana vs Uruguay – 17.00
Knockout qualification is on the line as Ghana renew hostilities with Uruguay at the 2022 Fifa World Cup in Qatar.
The showdown comes 12 years on from the Luis Suarez handball that denied the Black Stars a shot at the semi-finals in South Africa.
But they hold the advantage here, with a 3-2 victory over South Korea giving them a crucial three points in their bid to reach at least the Round of 16 this time around.
The South Americans have flattered to deceive in the desert, veteran Suarez and all, with just a point to show for their two outings.
Group H: South Korea vs Portugal- 17.00
Portugal are in the envious position of being able to cruise through their final Group H match at the 2022 Fifa World Cup, with South Korea their final pool phase opponents.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Co have put a pair of victories together against Ghana and Uruguay so far.
But they face a side with plenty of work to do, as Son Heung-min’s team scramble to reach the knockouts at the last opportunity.
Slipping to a 3-2 loss at the hands of the Black Stars didn’t help, following a drab draw with Uruguay to kick off the competition for the tournament mainstays.
