Leicester and Southampton face off on Sunday in the English FA Cup semi-finals at Wembley Stadium.
The winner in the capital will return under the arch next month for the final showpiece against the victor of the heavy duty clash between Chelsea and Manchester City.
It will also provide an opportunity to snare some silverware for either the surprise 2016 Premier League champions or the south coast club that last won the Cup in 1976.
Leicester did the business against Manchester United in the quarter-finals, as a Kelechi Iheanacho brace either side of a Youri Tielemans goal knocked out their EPL top three rivals.
The Foxes also had to deal with Premier League opposition in Round Five, seeing off Brighton having come good to the tune of a 3-1 victory away to Championship high-fliers Brentford in the fourth round.
Brendan Rodgers’ men had no scares against second tier opponents as they entered the competition either, stuffing Stoke 4-0.
Southampton came through a south coast derby unscathed in the last eight, as a Nathan Redmond brace and another from Moussa Djenepo produced a comprehensive, 3-0 victory.
Even more impressive were the wins at EPL rivals Wolves and Arsenal en route, having eased out Shrewsbury at St Mary’s Stadium at the Third Round stage.
Naughty boy trio James Maddison, Ayoze Perez and Hamza Choudhury should all be able to return for Rodgers following their club ban for breaching Covid-19 protocols.
Cengiz Under, James Justin and Harvey Barnes are all ruled out by injury for the Champions League chasers, although Caglar Soyuncu might be fit to return following his illness.
The Saints will be without Takumi Minamino, who is cup-tied having featured for Liverpool earlier in the competition.
Michael Obafemi will also be absent from the front line, with Will Smallbone and Oriol Romeu also not fit to take part.
