Chelsea FC historic record

Chelsea are five-time winners of the English Premier League title, most recently in 2017 under Italian head coach Antonio Conte, having also won the First Division crown back in 1955.

The Blues became champions of Europe when they lifted the Uefa Champions League trophy in 2012, with a pair of Europa League wins following in 2013 and 2019.

Eight-time winners of the FA Cup, Chelsea also have five League Cup titles to their name.

The Blues have only finished outside the top six in the EPL once since 1996, when they slumped to a shock tenth position in the league standings.

As a true giant of English football, Chelsea have seldom competed outside of the top flight in their history and have never featured lower than the second tier.

They also achieved a domestic double at the end of the 2009/10 season when they sealed both the Premier League and the FA Cup.

About Chelsea FC

Chelsea Football Club are one of the most successful teams in English soccer, as heavyweights in the Premier League and on the European stage.

The Blues’ fortunes were transformed with the arrival of Russian oligarch owner Roman Abramovich in 2003, sparking a spending spree on a host of new star players that took the west London club to the top of the EPL table.

Three of their Premier League title wins since then have come on the watch of enigmatic boss Jose Mourinho, who has had two spells in the Stamford Bridge dugout.

Chelsea contest capital city derby matches with rivals Arsenal and Tottenham.

Competitive rivalries also exist at the top of the standings with Liverpool and Manchester United.

There was even room for old fashioned football romance amid the huge sponsorship deals and transfers, when playing favourite Frank Lampard returned to the club as head coach ahead of the 2019/20 season.
