Leicester City historic record
The 2015/16 season still leaves Leicester fans rubbing their eyes in disbelief, after the Foxes stormed to their first English Premier League title under coach Claudio Ranieri.
It was their maiden top flight triumph and crowned a rise back from the third tier, where they spent their only season outside the top two divisions in 2008/09.
A run to the Uefa Champions League quarter-finals followed, as Leicester made the most of their adventure in the next campaign.
They also reached the quarter-finals of the FA Cup in 2018 and in 2012, when they were a Championship team.
Leicester’s entire history prior to 2002 was spent between spells in the First and Second Divisions, with the club finishing the 1928/29 season in a then-record second place in the standings.
They were also twice League Cup winners under charismatic coach Martin O’Neill in 1997 and 2000, also finishing runners-up in 1999.
