Highlands Park

About

Highlands Park is a Premier Soccer League (PSL) club based in Tembisa, Gauteng. They play their home games at Makhulong Stadium.

Having risen to prominence again in recent times after a spell in the wilderness, Highlands Park look as if they are here to stay.

The Lions of the North strolled to the 2017-18 National First Division (NFD) title, and in their second season after promotion, made the MTN8 final.

Historic Record

Highlands Park was a big club during the apartheid era, but after making the final of the BP Top 8 Cup in 1983, they lost to Orlando Pirates and did not play professional football again until 1990.

The NPSL franchise became Jomo Cosmos, but after Highlands Park was re-formed in 1990, they slowly found their feet again. 2019 saw them reach the MTN8 final as history repeated itself and they lost to SuperSport United.

The old Highlands Park won the 1980 NPSL title and lifted 10 NFL Cups.
