Polokwane City

About

Polokwane City is a South African football club which was formed in 2012 following the sale of Bay United to the Mogaladi family.

Polokwane City have often surprised doubters in the PSL, routinely punching above their weight. Players such as Rodney Ramagalela and Sammy Seabi have honed their talents while on the books of Rise and Shine.

There is never a dull moment when Polokwane City are playing and we aim to keep you in the loop through every moment. Be sure to check the latest Polokwane City live scores, results and fixtures, as well as the PSL standings.

Historic Record

Polokwane City first earned promotion to the Premiership in 2013 after winning the National First Division. Previously, Bay United had a brief stint in the Premiership themselves.

Nothing which Bay United had achieved matched what Rise and Shine would go on to do. An incredible fifth-place finish in 2018-19 meant that Polokwane City would never be written off by anyone with a long memory again.

What made this achievement particularly remarkable was that it was accomplished despite issues including a dispute with striker Rodney Ramagalela.
