The community driven Sims 4 Stuff Pack, Nifty Knitting, is heading for the final stages. If the Sims 4 six month roadmap is followed, then a stuff pack is the next DLC the team will release.
Only, we don’t know for sure if that’s the case. And we don’t know if there might be some surprises in store.
One thing that has been cool about the Nifty Knitting Pack, though, is how the team has kept everyone up to date with how the pack is progressing and sharing some insights into the development process. From how animations for the actual knitting action is designed to all the ins and outs of creating the artwork for packs and gameplay.
One thing stood out recently, though. We made a note of this when the latest Sims 4 Nifty Knitting blog post went live, but there’s a lot of speculation currently bubbling away in the Sims community.
Now, we?re at pains to stress that this is only speculation.
In the blog post, there was a note that said Sims will be able to knit toddler and baby onesies. The exact wording said:
So put your little grubworm in a handmade knitted outfit. I am sure they?d thank us if they could! (And if they didn?t like it I am sure they?d be polite about it.)
Now sure, sometimes words on a blog posts are just words on a blog post, but with The Sims 4 – you never really know until you know. Little grubworm? Like the worms that came with the Eco Lifestyle expansion which you can cuddle?
There was further speculation recently about the possibility of a baby update in The Sims 4. YouTuber Plumbella is convinced that there’s something afoot because of a recent render that showed a baby looking… well… different.
Some Simmers shot down the idea, saying this render has been used before. But those who have been wanting an update to babies in The Sims 4 can dream, right?
