The Sims 4 update that will come to the base game ahead of the release of the new Snowy Escape expansion pack will add the ability to vacation in any world.
The new world, Mount Komorebi, will be both a vacation and a residential world. Players will be able to create rental lots for their Sims to take a vicarious vacation in.
Turning vacation worlds into residential worlds will not be possible at this point, though. (But hey, there will probably be a mod for that soon, modders do great work).
The base game update will also include an update to Sims themselves. Lifestyles and Sentiments will be added with the new Snowy Escape expansion and while Lifestyles will be exclusive to the pack, Sentiments will come to the base game update ahead of the pack’s release, according to a report by Screenrant.
Sentiments are feelings Sims have about shared experiences. These shared moments will have the potential to impact on Sim’s moods in future.
Different platforms in build mode – making the split levels much easier – will also be part of the base game update ahead of the pack’s release.
The Sims 4: Snowy Escape will be released on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on 13 November 2020.
