The Sims 4: Basic cheats
Before knowing all the cheat codes, it is best to know some keyboard shortcuts to access features that are, by default, hidden in the game. Take the text box for example. You can never type in the cheat codes without it. However, this is a no-brainer step.
All it takes is to simultaneously press Ctrl + Shift + C to access it. You will then see a text box on the upper left corner of the screen to input your cheat codes. Now, you can begin typing cheats to the game.
Activating cheats in The Sims 4
To activate cheats in the game, type ?testingcheats.on?. This cheat will also enable a lot of hidden features in the game and provide access to lots of cheat codes. Simply type it (or maybe even copy/paste it) and hit Enter to activate the cheat.
While there are cheat codes that require testingcheats.on, other cheat codes like ?bb.moveobjects (on/off)? don’t require it. This cheat code is also the most useful as it allows you to move objects freely within your lot, resize them, overlap with other objects, or even elevate some of them.
The Sims money cheats
Another cheat codes that don’t require testingcheats.on are ?rosebud?, ?kaching?, and ?motherlode?. They?re fairly simple cheats but will make your sims richer than ever as they are money codes. Rosebud and kaching will add 1,000 Simoleons to your household account while motherlode gives 50 000 Simoleons.

General game guidelines and skills requiring packs
Most cheats are embedded in The Sims 4 base game. However, some cheats are pack-dependent. For instance, career cheats for Active Careers (Police, Doctor, Retail, Scientist) will require the Get to Work expansion pack. The Acting Career will require Get Famous installed in the game. Some career cheats are also only available in their respective expansion and game packs.
