Sims 4 Cheats Freebuild

Whether you play mostly as a builder in The Sims 4 or not, sometimes you just want to add your own personality to the game.

While there are some amazing mods for the game that lets you edit beyond the boundaries of lots, sometimes you just want to make a few small tweaks.

This guide is about a basic build cheat in The Sims 4 that lets you edit any lot in the game ? even while your Sims are there.

Cheats for The Sims 4 to edit dorms and career buildings

The freebuild cheat allows you to edit all buildings – including the dorms from The Sims 4: Discover University and the active career buildings from The Sims 4: Get To Work. These buildings do have requirements you have to follow, though, but they will be displayed in game.

How to use the freebuild cheat

As with all cheats in The Sims 4, remember to first turn cheats on. To get started with Sims 4 cheats, press CTRL+SHIFT+C on your keyboard if you?re using a PC. To open The Sims 4 cheats console on a Mac, press CMD+SHIFT+C.

Now you need to actually turn the cheats on. That’s the easy part. In the cheats box, simply type testingcheats on. Sometimes this doesn?t work and you have to type testingcheats true instead. You?ll know you?ve done it correctly when the dialogue box tells you ?Cheats are enabled?.

Once you have turned on cheats, type bb.enablefreebuild into to the cheats dialogue and hit enter. You can close the dialogue box by pressing escape on your keyboard.

You can now edit any lot, including hidden lots like Sylvan Glade. This cheat for The Sims 4 is also useful if you want to edit a community lot while your Sims are visiting.
