The new Sims 4 Cottage Living Expansion Pack, while generally well received so far, is delivering some hilarious glitches already. The pack adds a live-off-the-land lifestyle for Sims, including the ability to own and milk a cow.
One glitch, which was shared on Reddit by a player, is a lesson in how not to milk said cow. The glitch is a classic Sims 4 faux pas, with a Sim performing an action without the object of their action being visible ? and the Sim flexing into a rather interesting position in the process.
A player shared a short video on Reddit this week, showing the rather innovative way their Sim milked a cow. Well, an invisible cow in this case.
While the in-game glitch left some players amoosed (sorry not sorry), it wasn’t the only one that affected The Sims 4 Cottage Living. On the day of launch, a major global outage left many players unable to download the new expansion pack, even if they pre-ordered.
Players also reported that the so-called bonus content, items for players who buy the pack early, was not available to them after installing The Sims 4 Cottage Living.
The Sims released a statement on Saturday saying these issues should have resolved themselves by now, however, but urged anyone still experiencing these issues to report them on the EA help forums. In a tweet, The Sims said:
“Hey Simmers Waving hand Purchase and preorder issues are being resolved. If you are still experiencing download problems or missing Gnome on the Go bonus content, please submit a ticket to help.ea.com and include as many details as possible for our team to investigate further.”
