The next Sims 4 expansion pack, which is yet to be announced, is most likely not related to a reality TV chef show as previously speculated.
In recent weeks, the Sim Gurus have been sharing a lot of food related posts on Twitter, leading to many wondering whether it could be a hint at the new expansion pack.
Past Sims 4 surveys had featured a ?reality TV? option with a cook off career as one of the options, but the idea was never really explored further.
The combination of the Tweets and the past survey seemed to match for a food type of pack with reality TV as an underlying theme,
However, On Monday, the Sims 4 announced that the October update will include a host of new content to celebrate Hispanic History month. The content includes a bunch of new recipes, inspired by Latin America.
The new recipes and the new grill included in the update set to be released on 6 October 2020, seems to fit with the cook-off-related food hints the Sim Gurus have been sharing.
While all of this could still be worked into a reality TV type of pack, of course, it does mean that the theory of a Town Life expansion pack ? allowing players to build their own town with the recently patched in shell buildings ? still has legs.
It also means that the yet-to-be announced new Sims 4 Stuff Pack, could still be a standalone romance pack with a wedding planner gameplay feature.
The team has not confirmed when the theme of the next expansion pack or the new stuff pack will be announced, though.
However, expansion packs are usually released in the holiday period towards the end of the year.
The Stuff Pack ? which was leaked and confirmed ? could precede the expansion pack announcement.
Whatever announcements are to be made though, they are likely to happen after the 6 October Sims 4 update.
