Bonehilda, the skeletal maid NPC first introduced in The Sims: Makin? Magic, will return in The Sims 4: Paranormal Stuff Pack. But she won?t quite be Bonehilda as we know her.
There has been a bit of a mixed reaction to the comeback, with some players feeling let down by how her reincarnation will be integrated. If you are wondering what all the fuss is about, what Bonehilda can and can?t do (yes, we?re looking at you asking about the Woohoo), then we?ll try to break things down for you.
The ire is understandable, especially after a frustrating year for Sims 4 players in 2020. It is worth noting, however, that there is much more to this pack than Bonehilda. And while she she certainly does tick the box of being ‘paranormal’, there are arguably bigger paranormal priorities in a pack that looks remarkably substantial for a Stuff Pack.
Bonehilda’s missing coffin in The Sims 4
Bonehilda has always ?lived? inside a closet. Essentially, as an object. She could be purchased and added to any lot and would get in and out of her coffin. As one player explained, that house is to Bonehilda as a red dress is to Bella Goth.
In The Sims 4: Paranormal Stuff, Bonehilda will not live inside a coffin and she can?t just be bought like she is some sort of object.
While we do not know the full details yet, we know that she can only be summoned through the S?ance Table ?this time around?, according to Sim Guru Conor. She also cannot move into a household because, ‘she’s got places to be?.
What Bonehilda can and cannot do in The Sims 4
At the time of writing, it was confirmed that Bonehilda will clean the house, fix anything broken, garden, and lay out food for your Sims, amongst other things.
While you cannot add her to your household, Bonehilda will hang out with Sims once she’s done her chores. In previous editions of The Sims, there would be different reactions depending on which traits Sims had. If you are wondering if your Sims can woohoo with Bonehilda, the answer is yes. We do know that the pack will not have any ghost babies, but we’re not sure about baby Bonehildas yet.
Bonehilda also has a few other quirks, she can drink water (which will result in a puddle) and she will cause a reaction from other maids in her presence.
Sim Guru Conor said he will be sharing more details about the skeletal friend in the next developer blog this week, ahead of the deep-dive live stream.
