The September update for The Sims 4 added a cool new feature for builders. Windows can now finally be stacked on top of each other and on top of doors. That’s the good news.
The bad news is that the update has ?broken? pretty much all custom content windows, doors and arches. While these objects will still work as expected, they have all lost their transparency.
In other words, when placing a CC window in the Sims 4 after the patch, you?ll only see the frame.
Custom content creators have been working tirelessly to try and fix their creations and The Sims 4 Studio is hoping to roll out a batch fix at some point.
Fixing the issue is a bigger task than anyone imagined, though, and it appears as if it is not just Sims 4 CC creators who are suffering.
Some of the windows in The Sims 4 base game are also glitching. The issue seems to be largely with round-shaped windows and smaller windows.
The issue is not massively noticeable, but once you see it, you cannot unsee it. This clipping is something CC creators are struggling with, too, even for windows they have managed to fix to a point.
Whether this is related to another weird glitch which allows the editing of apartment exteriors in some cases, we?re not sure.
The same September update also added a bunch of new building shells in the debug catalogue, leaving us wondering whether a Town Life expansion pack might be coming to The Sims 4 soon.
