Sims 4 Snowy Escape: Mt. Komorebi has three hidden lots

Sims 4 Mt Komorebi Summit Other Hidden Lots

If you've been up Mt. Komorebi with your Sims, you might have noticed something. If not, you might want to look away if you do not want any spoilers.

The Sims 4 Snowy Escape expansion pack is a whole lot of fun. There are a few irksome bugs (and we don’t mean those giant caterpillars), but overall, the pack is the perfect antidote to a miserable year.

One of the features of Snowy Escape is the undertaking of a mountain-climbing excursion. While figuring out how to actually hike up Mt. Komorebi can be a bit confusing at first, it’s a delightful, albeit challenging, journey.

If you watched the gameplay live stream for the Sims 4 Snowy Escape expansion, you might remember that there is a reward waiting for you at the top of the mountain.

Mt. Komerebi’s summit brings with it not just a sentiment of accomplishment, but also a hidden lot for you to build on. Think of it as a sort of excessive display of planting a flag at the top of a mountain.

But what you might not know is that Mt. Komorebi has a few other hidden gems to discover, too.

We?re not talking about the ice caves your Sims can explore and err? indulge in. En route to the Mt. Komorebi summit there are two additional lots to build on.

Hiking up Mt. Komorebi requires your Sims to complete a series of tasks for each leg of the journey before they can ‘move on’. If you have taken your Sims on the excursion and you happened to have had the freebuild cheat turned on, you might have noticed something.

En route to the top of Mt. Komorebi, each of the pit stops have a buildable lot. While your Sims can’t live there (although, we’re sure it won’t be long before there is a mod for that) and you won’t be able to visit the lot without going through the arduous excursion, it’s a useful tip if you want to create a haven for your Sims who make their way up the mountain.

You will be bound by the event’s time restrictions, of course, so your Sims won’t be able to spend too much time up there (again, we’re pretty sure there will be a mod to circumvent that soon).

But you can set up these lots to serve as a pit stop for tired Sims to have some snacks, take a nap, use a bathroom and do whatever else you deem fit for Sims to do when taking a break from clambering up a mountain.

How to build on the hidden lots on Mt. Komorebi

Sims 4 Snowy Escape Mountain Builds On Hidden Lots

The only way to get to the hidden lots on the mountain is to climb up it. So you have to follow the standard steps of hiking up Mt. Komorebi.

Make sure you have the freebuild cheat enabled. You should see the edit lot wrench appear in the top right corner of your game on all the hidden lots you can build on.

You can build as you wish. It’s a useful place to try out some of the neat platform build tricks, like building functional rooms underneath them.

Just remember that you won’t be able to save your build without also ending the excursion. It’s useful to complete your build elsewhere and then load it up in your library once you get to the lot you want to place it on.
