Super Rugby AU reaches the third round of post-lockdown action in Australia this weekend, with a brace of fixtures Down Under split between Friday and Saturday.
The Reds kick off the action as leaders of the embryonic table, albeit with perfect records up in smoke after just the second week of matches.
They were held to a 18-18 draw by the Melbourne Rebels at Brookvale Stadium a week ago to leave them with an unbeaten record so far.
Last weekend’s story was the return to Super Rugby action of the Western Force, who were hoofed from the cross-continental competition a couple of years ago.
Their underdog squad put on a show to push the New South Wales Waratahs all the way in a 14-23 defeat, ahead of their visit to Suncorp Stadium this Friday (kick off 11.05 SAST).
Saturday sees attention turn to the ANZ Stadium where the Waratahs will look to back up their first win when they tackle the Brumbies (11.15 SAST).
The visitors took an early bye last weekend, having seen off the Melbourne Rebels 31-23 on the opening weekend.
It leaves the Rebels resting up this time around, ahead of their return to Super Rugby AU action in time for round four.
