Over the last few months, the Future Cube in The Sims 4 has been giving all sorts of hint about future content. Some of those ?predictions? have come to pass already, but there are a few mysteries that remain unsolved.
On the same day as the Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack was released, one of the Sim Gurus posted the Future Cube on Twitter. Simmers went straight to Future Cube to see what it is throwing out as ?hints?.
Some of the previous hints have been removed, but new ones have been added. From what we could spot in the game ? and what other Simmers have discovered, the new hints are:
- The most popular destination to elope is not yet known.
- Side by side. Sure. Spaced out. Yup. Stack em up? Hmm.
The Future Cube hints that haven?t been removed are:
- I see a gnome wielding a frozen rabbit riding atop a llama into battle against an udder?ly impressive foe.
- Without a doubt, that thing we talked about will come to be, as all of the signs are pointing to the answer that we agreed upon in our last discussion.
- Your uncertainty, certainly shall become certain, under certain situations in no uncertain terms.
- The future is soon?.
- Your future looks pixelated.
- Somebody is definitely going to get exactly what they want.
So, what might these hints point to? Let’s start with the ones that have been around for a while.
Future Cube hints in The Sims 4: What do they mean?
With The Sims, almost all hints can mean exactly what you want them to mean. But there are a few interesting things to note about the remaining Future Cube hints. The most interesting Future Cube hint is this:
I see a gnome wielding a frozen rabbit riding atop a llama into battle against an udder?ly impressive foe.
There are so many references here. The udder part obviously mentions cows. It could also be a reference to a cow plant, though ? which doesn?t have an udder, but could give it a whole new meaning. Riding could also be a reference to horses.
Eagle eyed Simmers have previously noted that it could be a reference to Don Quixote ? who saw windmills as ferocious giants. Off-the-grid game play was a major part of the Eco Lifestyle pack ? with wind turbines included ? but no windmills.
Windmills do have similar animations to those turbines, though and windmills are found on farms. Woah. Thesis done.
The mentions of the future could hint at some sort of incarnation of the Happy Haunts pack which formed part of the options during the community vote which was won by Nifty Knitting. It could reference work as a fortune teller.
As previously suggested ? these hints could all point to a sort of medieval pack, too ? with farming (more off the grid gameplay) included too.
The new Future Cube hints: What might they mean?
These two hints seem fairly straight forward.
The most popular destination to elope is not yet known.
This seems an obvious reference to a romance pack as a destination theme of sorts ? something which has been floated before.
Side by side. Sure. Spaced out. Yup. Stack em up? Hmm.
This surely has to be bunk beds. Beds can be arranged in all of these configurations except for the ‘stacking?.
There are a lot of theories and there’s a lot about the Sims to be excited about at the moment.
There is still a Game Pack from the previously released six-month roadmap to be announced. And there will likely be even more content to launch for the December holiday season.
