The Sims 4 University: Online retailer lists description

The Sims 4 Discover University Expansion Early Origin Access

Please note that EA has not confirmed anything at this point. But they haven’t flat out denied anything either. There is a ton of speculation – as there always is with expansion packs. We will update as soon as EA  comments. The image for this article is from The Sims 3 University expansion.

It’s agony waiting for confirmation about whether all the rumours about The Sims 4 University is true, isn’t it? Needless to say, then, that everything is still just speculation – The Sims Studio team hasn’t confirmed (or denied!) anything at this point.

But the rumour mill is in overdrive after the so-called “leaks” of The Sims 4 University began almost a month ago.

Twitter is abuzz with lots of impatient Simmers, but there hasn’t been so much as a peep from the official team over at EA.

All of that impatience won’t be helped by the fact that yet another online retailer has listed The Sims 4 University for sale? this time with a description to boot.

The Sims 4 University: Is this the description?

Online retailer “Gamivo” listed The Sims 4 University Origin CD key this week. The listing doesn’t refer to the expansion as “Discover University” as others have – but simply University. It also includes this speculative artwork.

Word of warning: the site in question has mixed online reviews. It’s what is known as a “grey” marketplace for key resellers – and many of these sites have a similar pattern of mixed feedback. Nevertheless, the listing comes with some interesting info.

The site adds a description of what’s to come with The Sims 4 University.

From the website:

Are your Sims ready for the time of their lives?

Heading off to university opens up new opportunities, from social connections to career growth.

From class activities to major-specific objects, your Sim will find new ways to learn!

And the university isn?t just about hitting the books. Join a protest, flirt at a bonfire party?there’s a lot to learn outside of lectures at the student union.

With new locations like the bowling alley and SimBurger to explore, and new activities like juice pong and spray painting murals to enjoy, your Sims are sure to have the time of their lives!

While some parts of the description is similar to The Sims 3 version, there are also interesting new additions – like the SimBurger.

But the wait for official comment goes on.

Fans of The Sims 4 have been treated to a glut of expansions in 2019.

The eagerly anticipated Island Living landed in the middle of the year followed by a Stuff Pack and a game pack in the form of Realm of Magic.

The Sims 4 University: Release date

The release date in all the leaks suggests that The Sims 4 University expansion will be released on 15 November. This timeline would fit with other patterns of expansions released in November.

City Living was released on 1 November 2016, Cats & Dogs was released on 10 November 2017. But, perhaps most strikingly, the last time The Sims released two expansion packs in one year – back in 2018 – the first of that year (Seasons) was released in June. Get Famous followed on 16 November 2018.

Island Living was released on 21 June this year? and The Sims 4 University? Well, we’ll have to wait and see.

All the leaks have been consistent with two things: each listing has had the same name for the expansion pack name and the same release date.
