English Premier League predictions, fixtures and results: 4 – 6 November 2023

The English Premier League rolls on with another action-packed long weekend of fixtures between Saturday and Monday.

A London derby between EPL leaders and limping Chelsea is the grand finale in the Monday night football game.

Spurs have been a revelation under popular Australian coach Ange Postecoglou, winning eight and drawing two of his first ten league matches in charge at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

No such luck for former coach Mauricio Pochettino, who saw his Blues slip to a fourth Premier League loss of the campaign already last weekend, leaving them mooching around in the bottom half despite a scarcely believable transfer outlay in the last year.

It’s north London rivals Arsenal who are hot on the heels of their foes, aiming to go one better than last season’s gallant runners-up finish.

They tackle tricky customers Newcastle at St James’ Park in the late Saturday kick off, with the Toon Army steadily getting to grips with the duel demands of domestic and Uefa Champions League football.

Reigning champions Manchester City will be heavily backed to make it three wins in a row when they welcome lowly Bournemouth to the Etihad Stadium.

A supreme victory in last Sunday’s Manchester derby saw Pep Guardiola’s side bare their teeth, while the Cherries scrambled a first win of the season to sneak outside the drop zone.

Humiliated Manchester United have first swing at recovering from their 3-0 Old Trafford pasting when they go to Fulham for the Saturday lunchtime game.

Erik ten Hag once again has a confidence rebuilding job on his hands, although their hosts have won just three times this term ahead of the Craven Cottage clash.

Liverpool are threatening to return towards their peak of a couple of seasons ago under long-serving boss Jurgen Klopp.

The Reds feature in one of Sunday’s two EPL fixtures when they travel to Kenilworth Road to play Rob Edwards’ struggling Luton.

Aston Villa are hot on the Anfield club’s heels and are also in blazing form as they head to Nottingham Forest in Sunday’s other match.

Unai Emery’s side haven’t been put off their Premier League stride one bit by their return to continental competition, while Forest are in increasing need of three points to haul them away from the drop zone.

Elsewhere on Saturday’s there’s another London derby to be had when Brentford meet West Ham.

A mid table affair sees both wanting to look up rather than down the EPL table, although it’s the Bees who come into the game in better shape after recording back-to-back wins.

Brighton have slipped off the pace at the top thanks to four winless league games.

And they could probably do without the trip to Everton right now, with the Toffees gradually getting their act together at Goodison Park under the wily charge of boss Sean Dyche.

Promoted Sheffield United are the only top flight club left without a win this season and they also confront a piece of unfortunate timing for their home fixture against Wolves.

The visitors come to Bramall Lane unbeaten in five, easing the early heat on new boss Gary O’Neill while putting them withing striking distance of the top half of the standings.

Burnley complete the trio of Championship escapees mired in the drop zone.

But Vincent Kompany and Co will fancy their chances of recording a second win of their Premier League return, with Crystal Palace making the long trek to Turf Moor off the back of two defeats on the spin.
