New Sims 4 Kit to be released along with Game Pack overhaul

The Sims 4 announced that they will release a new Kit and an overhaul of one of the Game Packs soon. The date for these releases was not revealed, nor the theme of either of the releases, of course.

The Sims 4 already confirmed the refresh for one of the existing content, but the announcement about a Sims 4 Kit is news.

Kits were first released early in 2021 and received a mixed response. Described as ?bite-size? packs to ?boost your play style with more choices?. At the time of their release, The Sims 4 team said they were designed to ease “content droughts” between the release of the bigger DLC additions like Stuff, Game and Expansion Packs.

New Sims 4 Kit: What’s the theme?

In the announcement, The Sims shared a short clip of a Sim jumping into a pool, leading to some speculation that the Kit might be an add-on for pools of sorts.

However, when Sim Guru Ninja was asked whether the GIF was a hint to either the Kit or which Sims 4 Game Pack will be given a refresh, the response was “neither”.

It is not clear yet which Sims 4 Game Pack will be getting a refresh either, however, some speculation has suggested that it could be Spa Day, but nothing has been officially confirmed.

There is no indication whether there will be an update for The Sims 4 base game in August 2021 yet, and no Laundry List has been released for this month. The Laundry List was launched in March, to give players a short update on which bug fixes the team are working on ahead of any updates.

So far, the release have those have been fairly consistent, and they are usually released on a Tuesday and always prior to any Sims 4 base game updates.

Four Sims 4 Kits have been released to date, all of them on a Tuesday. The first release, which launched the new DLC type, saw three Kits released at the same time back in March 2021. A fourth Sims 4 Kit was released on 18 May 2021, but there has been nothing since.
