Before we have even had a chance to start filling in the blanks on our overview of some top Sims 4 mods, a newish one has already caught our attention.
Although this was first released back in October 2021, recent updates has made this a must-have for players who enjoy diligently managing their generational families in The Sims 4.
Summon All Urns and Log All Sim Families pretty much does what it says on the tin.
The mod comes in two parts, and they can be used together or separately, depending on what you are trying to achieve. If you want to build a Sims 4 graveyard and easily manage urns and ghosts, then part one is for you.
For Sims 4 players who keep an external log of the Sims in their game – be that for creating a save file or just because that’s their jam – the Log All Sim Families addition is incredibly useful.
It is possible to log these details with existing mods like MC Command Centre, of course, but this is more of a wham-bam option for players looking to quickly generate a log file by simply opening the cheat dialogue box.
The creator of this mod said that they created the first part of the mod for “the sole purpose of creating a graveyard” in their Sims 4 game. The mod made it easy for them to delete ghosts they didn’t want from their urns and place the urns they want in the cemetery.
The Log Sim Families mod followed because the creator is a self-proclaimed “avid spreadsheeter” who likes to track generational Sims on a sheet.
All Sim names, age, spouses, parents, species and other useful information is generated to a text file, separated by commas if you want to transfer it to a sheet.
You can choose to output all the info of a whole save file (it took just a few seconds to processes over 300 hundred Sims in our tests), or select a specific Sim by inputting their first and last name.
You can also choose to log the generational details of a specific surname in your game. All very useful options for players who play legacy -style.
For more details or to download the mod, you can head on over to Mod The Sims. Make sure to read the instructions carefully to ensure you grab the correct download and that you use the right commands for logging.
