The Sims 4 Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack will not ?free the babies? from their cribs, despite wide speculation that this feature might be in the works.
There was much chatter about whether The Sims 4 will finally roll out a baby update after it was revealed that Sims will be able to knit onesies for babies with the new stuff pack.
In The Sims 4, babies are essentially an ?object? ? which means interaction with them is quite limited. Some Simmers want the interactions with babies to be enhanced and want babies to be freed from their cribs ? something which is not possible beyond lifting them out for some basic interactions.
During a deep dive live stream ahead of the release of The Sims 4 Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack, gurus did show players what the baby onesies that Sims can knit will look like. However, they reiterated that there is no ?freeing the babies? coming ? not with this pack at least.
Sim Gurus also revealed that Sims won?t be able to knit separate hats or booties for babies (like they will for other Sims). The only knitwear that babies will get with The Sims 4 Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack is full body onesies.

The baby onesies will come in a variety of swatches and patterns. Sims will simply change babies in their cribs into whichever onesie they want the baby to wear.
