The Sims 4 community-voted stuff pack, Nifty Knitting, will be released this coming week. The Sim Gurus took us on a deep dive live stream, revealing some details ahead of the pack’s launch.
Those curious about new deaths for Nifty Knitting might have been a bit disappointed to discover that the pack won?t feature any new deaths. It will, however, feature something which the Gurus said is ?worse than death?. In The Sims 4 Nifty Knitting, poor unsuspecting Sims might be hit with the Sweater Curse. You can read more about what The Sweater Curse in The Sims 4 Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack is over here ? but avoid it if you don’t want any spoilers.
One of the key features of this pack, though, is Plopsy, the online marketplace where Sims can sell stuff and make money.
Sim Gurus did their best to answer questions from players during the live stream. Note that the gurus weren?t entirely sure on some of the answers for these, but it does give a pretty good oversight of what players can expect from Plopsy in The Sims 4 Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack.
New jobs in The Sims 4 Nifty Knitting
There won?t be any new jobs in the pack, but Plopsy can become a job for crafty Sims who knit a lot and sell on the online marketplace.
What can and can?t be sold on Plopsy
No food, drink, pets or kids can be sold on Plopsy in The Sims 4 Nifty Knitting. When Sim Guru Connor was asked about whether Sims will be able to sell items form the fabricator on Plopsy, the answer was ? in their words ? a ?typical technical answer?.
?I think I got rid of that because there was actually a crafting quality that was another requirement for this [items to be sold]. I’m not sure if they did for that I might be mistaken,? the guru said.
The short answer is that the fabricator doesn?t work in the same way as the craft tables that come with Nifty Knitting.
Fame points for Plopsy
Sims won?t earn any fame points for selling their items on Plopsy. They will still get it for selling collector’s items on a painting, for example, according to the live stream ? but it does not apply to Plopsy.
The return of Crumplebottom
An old Sims NPC favour -Mrs. Crumplebottom ? will make a return to The Sims 4 in the Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack. The stern old woman will be selling some of her own stuff on Plopsy, according to the Gurus on the live stream.
Cats and yarn balls
For Sims 4 players who have the pets expansion pack, cats will be interested in yarn baskets and yarn balls ? and will play with those items if they are present in a household.
These were some of the key highlights we learned prior to the release of the new Sims 4 pack. There are many more features to be explored in The Sims 4 Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack ? we can?t wait to play.
