The new Sims 4 game pack will be released on 8 September 2020. Officially titled The Sims 4 Star Wars: Journey to Batuu, the ninth game pack of the popular simulation franchise takes players on a journey out of this world. Quite literally.
The official game play trailer for the new pack was released on Tuesday and while there are still some things that are unclear about what exactly the Sims 4 Star Wars world will be like, players did get a sneak peek at some assets in the latest video.
Let’s take a look at some of the things we spotted in the new Sims 4 Star Wars game pack trailer.
Sims 4 Star Wars: Journey to Batuu – Create a Sim (and droid)
Android… geddit? Ok, sorry. We learned from the game play trailer that Sims will be able to build their own droid they can take home from Batuu.

The CAS assets are, as you might have expected, very Star Wars-ey. But also, a bit medieval, no?

Sims 4 Star Wars: Journey to Batuu – Characters
It is not quite clear yet if the characters on Batuu will be new life states or if these are just costumes which can now go on the worst-dressed townie risk list.
The usual suspects are present, as you might expect from a Sims game pack where players have to ‘choose their own story’.

We fear this image suggests the characters on Batuu are just dressed in costumes… some of the costumes that already exist in the game.

Sims 4 Star Wars: Journey to Batuu -Millenium Falcon
Again, it is not clear if Sims will be able to construct this themselves. We have a feeling they won’t, but there might be some cool junk parts for post-apocalyptic builders.

Sims 4 Star Wars: Journey to Batuu – Build/Buy, light sabres and more
Again, it was not quite clear from the trailer whether kids will be able to use the light sabres in the Sims Star Wars pack. Or if there might be a new death related to said sabres.

Can we talk about this phone, though? Does it look different or are we just seeing things again?
