Sims 4 Star Wars: Journey to Batuu extended gameplay trailer

The Sims 4 team have dropped the official game play trailer for the new game pack. The Sims 4 Star Wars: Journey to Batuu game pack is set to be released on 8 September 2020.

The narrated game play trailer shared some more details on the Create-a-Sim assets as well as the build/buy features that will come with the pack. It also expanded on the “choose your side” approach the pack will take.

The trailer and the new description blurb still leaves a few questions about the new Sims 4 Star Wars game pack.

What we do see is that Sims will be able to build their own droid to take back from Batuu. The trailer does look like there will be gambling for Sims on Batuu, as we suspected after we saw the reveal trailer. It is not quite clear what the lodgings in Batuu will look like, although we are pretty certain that it will be a vacation world.

The opening description for the gameplay trailer also added this:

When your Sim first arrives on Batuu, it seems like the perfect place for an adventure. Good atmosphere, incomparable artefacts, interesting Sims, and delicious local specialities abound.

But before long, they?ll be caught up in the conflict between opposing factions. Learn what you can about them by talking with the locals before you decide who to support, or just dive right in! A simple drink at Oga’s Cantina or a conversation on the street could guide your Sim onto their path.

There’s no guarantee they?ll stay on that path, though. You decide if your Sim dedicates themself to the cause or defects for another faction entirely. Whatever your Sim aspires to be?a Paragon of Hope, an Enforcer of Order, or a Galactic Privateer?they have every opportunity to live out their dreams on Batuu.

We also know that there will be an update to the base game of the Sims 4 before the pack launches. With the franchise turning six this week, many players are hopeful that the patch will add something special, perhaps even one of the 22 things we’d like to see come to the Sims 4 base game.
