The Sims 4 will release the new game pack, Star Wars: Journey to Batuu, in September. The popular simulation franchise announced the game’s ninth expansion pack at Gamescom last week.
Earlier in 2020, when the team announced a roadmap for the six months ahead, they announced that the new game pack would be a ‘major first’ for The Sims 4. However, there is some debate about whether the Star Wars game pack fits that definition.
The Sims 4 will celebrate its sixth birthday this week on 2 September, so players might get a pre-pack patch in preparation for the official release of The Sims 4 Star Wars Journey to Batuu.

The Sims 4 Star Wars: Journey to Batuu release date
The new Sims game pack is set to be released on 8 September 2020. While expansion packs usually release staggered across different timezones – and are available for pre-order – game packs are released at the same time.
Sims 4 game packs usually release in the mornings Pacific Time, which is mid-afternoon South African time. Game packs are not usually available for pre-order.
Packs are also usually preceded by a live stream that shows off the game play of the pack. No date has been set for that for the new Sims 4 Star Wars game pack, though.
