The Sims 4 Snowy Escape: Pond tool coming?

Sims 4 Snowy Escape Pond Tool Possible

The Sims 4 Snowy Escape expansion pack could be adding some really cool build options.

The next Sims 4 expansion pack, Snowy Escape, is just a couple of weeks away from being released.

While we are still waiting for the official gameplay trailer and the live stream, The Sims did release a super short promotional clip recently.

Sims 4 Snowy Escape Expansion Pond Tool Maybe

In this clip, like in the official trailer video, one of the builds appear to have a pond in front of it. There’s also a scene in the reveal trailer where Sims can be seen walking across a bridge that looks like it is over a pond.

Creating ponds in The Sims 4

It is already possible to create a pond in The Sims 4 using the pool or fountain tool and simply hiding the edges with plants and rocks. You can actually do this in the base game quite easily.

We also know that ?waterfalls? already exist as debug objects and can be used in builds with a bit of tinkering.

The pond in front of the house looks a lot like one of the ponds that came with the Get Famous expansion pack, too, so we do not want to get too excited just yet.

When will the gameplay trailer for Sims 4 Snowy Escape be released?

More details on what the pack (and possibly the pre-pack Sims 4 update) will include, will be revealed during the live stream deep dive scheduled for Friday.

Before that, though, a gameplay trailer for The Sims 4 Snowy Escape might be released. The official Sims Twitter account responded to queries about the trailer’s release saying it will drop ‘soon?.

Gameplay trailers usually release on a Tuesday, ahead of the live steam, but that did not happen this week, so Simmers might get a trailer in the two days before the live stream.
